Deep in the heart of Lamu East, Kenya, untold numbers of homeless cats and kittens lead short, miserable lives of hunger, neglect and pain. Stricken by severe starvation and sickness, they eke out a sad existence on islands where hope feels miles away, struggling for scraps and some semblance of shelter just to survive.

This heart-wrenching scene is not conjured from horror fiction - it is the harsh and inescapable reality for more than 20,000 stray cats. With not a single shelter or veterinary clinic and absolutely no government help, the cats are left to breed unchecked, resulting in a deadly population boom and immense suffering for the animals.

Kittens are being born into a world without hope, destined to die of starvation or disease.

Tragically, most do not live to see adulthood. The streets of Lamu East are littered with sickly cats and kittens practically at death’s door - forgotten victims in a cruel world where compassion for animal lives is rare.

NO animal deserves such a fate. As cat lovers like you, it breaks our hearts to know that so many of our beautiful feline friends are suffering and dying right now. Without your help, they will NEVER have a chance at a better life.

The most critical need is sterilization. Our past efforts - made possible entirely by YOUR compassionate heart and devoted generosity - have already borne fruit. Together with a skilled team of local veterinarians, we have successfully sterilized more than 1,000 cats!

We have ignited change and saved the lives of countless cats in crisis. But our work is far from over.

Focusing on the needy villages of Faza, Pate and Lamu Town, we hope to continue our life-saving Trap-Neuter-Return (TNR) program to prevent thousands of unwanted kittens from being born into a world where there is no love, only pain.
