Two days ago, we told you we had 48 hours to buy enough food for 250 donkeys rescued from the Chinese donkey skin trade – food to last them through the corona crisis shut down in South Africa. The donkeys all live at the Karoo Donkey Sanctuary, hundreds of miles from the nearest big town, and food to last at least three weeks is urgently needed.

Thanks to your amazing support we have raised enough money for the first trucks of fodder.  Food is being delivered as we write this.

Yet, we still don’t have enough!

The good news is that we have got special dispensation to break the lockdown and get one last delivery of food this weekend.

If we can manage this, we will have saved the donkeys!

We desperately need one more push to be certain of their survival! Please be as generous as you can in this emergency situation.

If we miss this final deadline, costs will soar. Not every supplier will close, but prices and transport costs will be prohibitive. We must act immediately before it is too late. Please, this is URGENT! Donate right now if you possibly can.

Grazing for these beautiful donkeys is scarce in the semi-desert Karoo where they live. Without additional food, they will slowly starve.

We can't let them die!

We are so close! If we can raise the money for a few more truckloads, then thanks to you and others like you, the donkeys will not starve. The clock is ticking, and your help as an animal lover is needed.

These are donkeys rescued from the brutal donkey-skin trade - they narrowly escaped being skinned alive in illegal bush slaughterhouses. Imagine how they would feel surviving that only to now face a horrible death by starvation.

Please, help us keep these donkeys alive by donating now.

P.S., we have to remind you how important it is for you to be careful of catching the disease. Please look after yourself, stay inside and this too shall pass. Please, if you possibly can, donate right now for the donkeys.
