Two days ago, we told you we had 48 hours to buy enough food for 250 donkeys rescued from the Chinese donkey skin trade – food to last them through the corona crisis shut down in South Africa. The donkeys all live at the Karoo Donkey Sanctuary, hundreds of miles from the nearest big town, and food to last at least three weeks is urgently needed.
Thanks to your amazing support we have raised enough money for the first trucks of fodder. Food is being delivered as we write this.
Yet, we still don’t have enough!
The good news is that we have got special dispensation to break the lockdown and get one last delivery of food this weekend.
If we can manage this, we will have saved the donkeys!
We desperately need one more push to be certain of their survival! Please be as generous as you can in this emergency situation.

These are donkeys rescued from the brutal donkey-skin trade - they narrowly escaped being skinned alive in illegal bush slaughterhouses. Imagine how they would feel surviving that only to now face a horrible death by starvation.
