We will never, ever know how anyone could wake up one day and decide to simply abandon the sweet and gentle dog or cat who has loved them and stood by them like family.

But Jack’s story will leave you even angrier. He was discarded like trash because he got cancer!

We URGENTLY need your help now to fund Jack’s medical care, chemotherapy and road to recovery. He is such a sweet dog with so much love to give, and he’s been betrayed in the saddest way.

It’s hard to even fathom Jack the Labrador’s last moments in his former home.

One day, your family loves you. Then the second you fall ill, they close the door on you and never let you back in.

How his tender little heart must have wondered what he’d done wrong!

Left alone to fend for himself, he relied on whatever scraps of food he could find. Scraps that, as you know, have been extremely scarce for street dogs in the Philippines since the start of the COVID-19 pandemic.

By the time a kindhearted person discovered Jack wandering on his own, searching for a loving family who could accept him, he was thin and weak. But his tail wagged in greeting!

His flesh was being eaten by cancerous lesions erupting on his heartbroken, bony body, and still, he tried to stay strong! But his rescuer knew if she brought Jack to the City Pound, his fate – a tragic end – would be sealed.

Because of her love for animals, as deep and loyal as your love, Jack was personally cared for by our representative in the Philippines and is now in foster care.

But he needs continued and costly medical treatment, and, we need your help now.

Please be there for Jack: rush whatever you are able, large or small – every donation is needed - to help Jack receive lifesaving chemotherapy and supplements, plus food and nutrients to get him back to health.

If there had been nowhere for Jack to go but the City Pound, he would surely be dead by now. Instead – even despite the long road he has ahead and the pain he must still be in – Jack’s little face shines with love and gratitude.

It’s as if he is already saying to you, “Thank you, friend, for loving me when no one else would.”

We won’t lie to you. Jack is truly sick, and profoundly malnourished. It will take EVERY Network for Animals supporter giving what they can to nurture Jack back to health.

And it will take time.

But you know we will never turn our backs on a single animal, ever. That IS a promise we will ALWAYS make to you.

Please, don’t let Jack just die while he still has a chance! He’s been betrayed and left lonely and abandoned.

Please, show Jack there are good people in this world who love him and will NEVER let him down. Donate as generously as you can now. Together, we will help Jack heal.

The moment your generosity today brings an improvement in Jack’s fragile health, we’ll let you know. And if we need more help to fund additional chemotherapy, you’ll be the first to know.

Thank you forever, for your brave heart, your fighting spirit, and for helping friends like Jack. The animals – and all of us here – would be lost without you.

For the animals,

P.S. As a direct result of your past support, the small reserve we were able to set aside for emergencies like Jack’s has helped make sure he is being rehydrated and given some of the first nourishing food he’s eaten in weeks. Even after just initial chemotherapy, his tail wags for everyone he meets. We can’t let him slip away after all he’s been through! He deserves a healthy body and a forever home, where he’ll get all the love his heart can hold. Please help fund Jack’s recovery. Thank you.
