A few months ago, we told you about the plight of Cape fur SEALS STARVING TO DEATH on the coast of the Western Cape in South Africa. Our supporters responded generously, and we rushed immediate life-saving support to our partner on the ground, the Hout Bay Seal Rescue Centre (HBSRC).
Unfortunately, the situation has worsened.
We WILL NOT GIVE UP on these seals and therefore must share with you the heartbreaking reality we encountered on our most recent visit to the sanctuary - because we URGENTLY need your continued support today.

Donate todayOrphaned baby seals, some still with placenta attached, are close to death and desperate for sustenance. They have no mothers to feed them!
Seal pups, some just weeks or even days old, are washing up on the shore - weak, orphaned and desperate for food. These are the youngest victims of the seal crisis - their mothers dead, their bodies still covered in afterbirth or with placentas still attached. They aren’t old enough or strong enough to fend for themselves - they’re barely able to lift their own heads. It’s only the ‘lucky’ ones who wash up, clinging to life, just in time to be rescued.
Fortunately, together with our dedicated partner on the ground, HBSRC - and support from friends like you, we are in a unique position to help these fragile young animals to survive.
But they have one continuing and critical need: vet-grade puppy milk, which is the closest substance to their mothers’ milk. It’s the only food that will give them the nutrition they need to make it through their critical early months and develop the blubber they need to survive in the ocean.
We’re counting on your donation today
so we can obtain specialized puppy milk for the seal pups!

Donate todayWe have been helping these seals since last November and you know we won’t give up on them now - not ever! We need to raise $5,000 (£3,600) for this specialized puppy milk so that we can give these helpless animals every chance of survival. This will be enough to feed 25 pups for two months. Now that their mothers have died, this is their only hope of survival.

Donate todayThe HBSRC is working day and night to save as many baby seal lives as possible. Thousands of newborns have already died, but we are determined to save the rest. With your help, we WILL!
Please, donate generously now to help these precious animals, who without us, have no hope of making it through their first weeks of life. We want to watch these orphaned babies grow healthy and strong, so they can be released into the ocean where they belong. They are depending on us!
For the animals,

P.S. Just a few months ago, you helped us rush 21 tons of critically-needed fish to the seals of the Western Cape, who were sick, starving and dying, many of them just skin and bones - and together, we helped many of them survive. Now, we must ask you to show your compassion for them once again - WE MUST NOT LET THEM DOWN! Your donation will help these orphaned seals survive the critical early days of their lives, until they are strong enough to return to the ocean. Please, donate generously today.
