Donbas is one of the areas worst affected by the Ukraine war. Parts of it have been virtually obliterated. Here, vicious fighting is raging with no end in sight. It is the front line of the war, and for the animals - it is sheer hell as bombs fall, bullets fly and innocent creatures starve or die brutal deaths.

We are embarking on a terrifying mission to feed and save animals in the desperately dangerous area of Donbas.

We need you right now to help ensure the mission’s success!

By the time you read these words, our team will be on the road at the front end of an extremely dangerous mission to Donbas to help the animals. Some may call it crazy, but our team’s response is we need to - we MUST - get to the animals who need help.

Abandoned dogs and cats have been the voiceless, totally helpless victims of this terrible war. But we are there for them and determined to help as many of them as possible. This next mission is one of our most dangerous and critical to date, and we need YOUR support to make it a success.

We are traveling into Donbas with BACK-UP VEHICLES in case our vans are SHOT AT, CAPTURED or BLOWN UP. The situation REALLY IS THIS PERILOUS, BUT THOSE OF US WHO CARE FOR ANIMALS KNOW IT MUST BE DONE.

We have no idea what we will find. What we know for sure is that the animals who have miraculously survived so far will be starving, terrified and utterly traumatized. They may be injured, have litters of puppies or kittens, or be nearly on their last breaths. That is why we need to go, despite the immense safety risk, and that is why we must do it NOW. Every minute we wait is a minute more animals die.

“We are heading through a high-risk war zone for the city of Severodonetsk, itself a high-risk zone. There is fighting. There is no internet or telephone connection. We leave at dawn, with our love for animals to sustain us.”

We know the risks. Our team could be shot at, and the vehicles destroyed - at worst, our team could be captured or killed. We are taking precautions. In our little Network for Animals convoy of three vehicles, one will hang back so that, should the worst happen, our team will use it to try to flee. It is THIS DEADLY DANGEROUS, but the animals are in even worse peril.

The animals of Donbas have lived IN TERRIBLE DANGER for months. The least we can do, as they try to survive a life of war on the streets, is to live by our principles and give them food to fill their painfully empty bellies.

After this long, they will be DESPERATE for food - and that’s before we consider injuries, pregnancies or helpless litters of puppies and kittens. Since the war began, it has been impossible to reach Donbas’ animals, which means they have had to pick through ruins for scraps of food amid bomb explosions and air raids - often picking over the bodies of their dead friends.

With few looking out for the desperate dogs and cats of war, it is up to us and animal lovers like YOU to help them. Those we cannot rescue, we WILL FEED.

The risk is so great, few dare to travel there, but our team simply can’t sleep at night knowing how the animals of Donbas are suffering. We estimate we can deliver 10 tons (10,000 kilograms) of desperately needed pet food, at a total cost of $10,000 (£8,100) on this vital mission.

We hope this will be the first of many missions. Prices have soared since the war began, and food costs are rising every day. You can imagine how many animals are in need and how badly they need your help. Please donate generously today.

P.S: We can’t even begin to imagine how animals have survived this long, and the hunger they must feel. Getting food to the dogs and cats trapped in Donbas will be the kindest, most compassionate thing we can do right now. Please, help us fill their bellies by donating right now. Your donation will GET THEM FED!
