£5,000 Grant Given to Cornwall Badger Rescue

  • April 5, 2017
  • Badger Cull
  • United Kingdom

Thanks to the generosity of our supporters, Network for Animals is proud to announce today’s grant of £5,000 to Cornwall Badger Rescue.

The small voluntary group has been provided assistance by Network for Animals supporters since 2011, enabling rescue work, a successful vaccination scheme, and a new trailer to provide safe animal transportation.

When devastating floods hit the south of England in early 2014, we were able to step in with a donation of £3,750, which in turn allowed Cornwall Badger Rescue to extend assistance to foxes, hedgehogs, and rabbits affected by the flooding. In the words of Cornwall Badger Rescue Co-ordinator Bob Speechley:

“If it wasn’t for Network For Animals’ donations last year we would not have survived, we just don’t seem to have enough hours in a day”.

Our £5,000 grant will allow the energy and compassion of Cornwall Badger Rescue to thrive in 2015. We thank the generosity of our supporters, urge you to learn more about Cornwall Badger Rescue and do all you can for animals in your own area.

By supporting our work, you are reaching out with caring hands to stop animal abuse
