I can scarcely gaze into Dam’s soulful eyes knowing that as a street dog he was doused with BOILING OIL by a cruel market vendor.
The way it must have clung to his skin, his back. The scalding, sticky fluid rampaging into his tissue and flesh.
It’s what our partners at Thai Animal Sanctuary confront all too often when a seriously injured street dog is brought to them and resources. And they are always poor, relying on you and me to help.
Some may see the remote hills of Western Thailand’s Kanchanaburi Province where the Thai Sanctuary operates and think: “That’s not such a terrible place to be a street dog.”
But one look at the list of medical supplies needed by volunteer veterinarians at the sanctuary will show you what Thai street dogs like Dam really go through.
Blood transfusion bags. Cast material for broken bones. Burn cream. Antibiotics. Treatment for agonizing diseases like rabies and distemper.
Dam has become such a beautiful boy. I can’t stand by while Thai street dogs like him suffer and I can’t help our partners like Thai Sanctuary without you.
Please find it in your heart to give generously to Network for Animals today.
For the animals,
P.S. You’ll be so glad to know that Dam’s scars have healed. He’s safe at the Thai Animal Sanctuary. Dozens of wonderful friends are there at any given time and it’s costly to care for them the way they so richly deserve to be. If you can, please give for precious Dam and all the animals there.
