Network For Animals recently teamed up with the PSPCA to run Elephant themed art contests for children in Manila and Baguio, Philippines.

The World Animal Day competition took place in 47 schools, and allowed us the opportunity to lecture on the plight of Mali the Elephant, the core needs of elephants and the difference in lifestyle between a captive and wild elephant. It also allowed us to to hand out flyers, and for the PSPCA to vaccinate the cats and dogs of participants.

Every participant received a certificate for joining the contest, and the entries were judged by three professional artists, who awarded prizes including a top prize of 5000 Pesos ($110).
