All over the Arab country of Jordan, cities are mass shooting the very gentle, loving and sweet Canaan dogs, the most ancient dog breed in the world.

Misguided Muslims have called for the dogs to be killed,
Misinterpreting religious readings from the prophet Mohammed, the dogs were accused of being impure.

Municipal killer cars drive around at night executing the poor dogs, often shooting and injuring them and letting them suffer before they die. “The squeals are blood curdling,” one witness told us through her tears. We just couldn’t ignore this.

I sent my team to offer support to a group of brave people fighting for the dogs in Jordan. The organisation is called Rahmeh Association for Animals. These courageous souls are ordinary animal lovers, just like you and me and they risk their lives for dogs amidst flying bullets. The extremists savagely fire indiscriminately – if dog lovers get in the way too bad.

My team went with brave volunteers on a mission to rescue a mother and her puppies who were seeking asylum under an old car. She had been hit in the leg and head while she bravely protected her puppies.

Despite being starved, weak, thirsty and exhausted, the young mother was fearlessly guarding her puppies with every bit of energy she had. After some difficulty and patience, we rescued her and her puppies and rushed them to the vet.

We paid for emergency medical treatment and luckily mother and puppies survived. We named the mother Elle and one special puppy with blue eyes Meghan. We took them to the Rahmen shelter, a sanctuary for the survivors of this horrible extermination program.

The shelter is in desperate need of help because it faces constant threats of closure. We must help these wonderful people to provide medical treatment for gun-shot wounded dogs. It’s critical for the dogs to have somewhere safe from these monsters. Stand with me and donate generously today so we can save as many dogs as possible in Jordan.

For the animals,

P.S. It is a horrible reality, but without our help the oldest dog breed in the world will face extermination at the hands of monsters. If you care about dogs and I know that you do, please make a donation today to help dogs in distress in Jordan.
