Network for Animals’ campaign to free Mali the Elephant continues this month with a donation to the staff of Manila Zoo, specifically to assist with blood tests.

Mali who is now 42 years old, has been at the zoo since the age of three. Her enclosure is barren and serious concerns for her mental and physical health have been expressed for many years.

The blood tests will be the first at the impoverished zoo for around two years, so Mali will need preparation and training before they are made. We aim to publish the results in due course.

NFA continue to work behind the scenes to secure a better life for Mali, free of the concrete enclosure she has known as her world, for so many years.
