In an impoverished state called Hidalgo, Mexico, a paralyzed dog named Carmella needs a doggy wheelchair. Will you be a part of helping her live a normal life? Please donate now and help Carmella have the chance to run and play like a normal dog.
More than 3,000 street dogs roam the chaotic streets of Hidalgo. Many become victims of hit-and-run accidents by cars and trains. Reckless drivers speed down the roads, not caring if they run over innocent animals.
Carmella was mown down by a speeding car and left to suffer and die!

Donate todayCarmella was struck by a hit-and-run driver late at night and left for dead in the middle of the road. Terrified and in agony, this brave girl dragged herself out of the road and crawled to a nearby house, hoping for rescue.
The householder took her to the Fiona Animal Refuge in Hidalgo, where she was immediately examined. Carmella was in bad shape, severely dehydrated and unable to eat or drink. With love and medical care, she slowly recovered. But more tragedy awaited…
After a month, she started to crawl, but it was apparent she could not stand or put any weight on her back legs. Sadly, the poor little dog is paralyzed for life.
Carmella deserves the chance of some happiness!

Donate todayThrough all her pain, she remained a sweet dog and never once growled or showed aggression. Carmella is in desperate need of a doggy wheelchair so she can exercise the rest of her body. It would be so wonderful for our little fighter to be mobile again, sniffing and walking like a normal dog. Would you please help make this happen by donating today?
Carmella has little chance of being adopted and will probably live at the shelter for the rest of her life. A wheelchair will make all the difference in the world to one poor, sad dog.
Will you help Carmella? This brave girl deserves it. We urgently need to raise $5,000 (£3,600) to provide long-term care and a doggy wheelchair for sweet Carmella.

The Fiona Animal Refuge, where Carmella lives, was established ten years ago by Dottie Cross, who has devoted her life to this work. For dogs like Carmella, who have no home and no family, their only hope is this shelter - and supporters like you. If we can raise funds, with your help, we can start by getting Carmella her much-needed wheelchair.
In the long term, we would like to support the Fiona Animal Refuge by providing funds for much-needed medical equipment and food, but we can only do this with YOUR help - you, our compassionate and caring supporters.
Please, help us to save dogs like Carmella and others, who are living out their days at the Fiona Animal Refuge. Let’s show them that they’re not alone.
For the animals,

P.S. At this cash-strapped facility, there is no X-ray machine to help other dogs like Carmella, or therapy pool to aid Carmella’s mobility. Instead, the staff helps her move, gently massaging and stretching her limbs to aid in her movement. Helping poor little Carmella is such a positive thing to do, please donate generously today.
