NFA provides financial and logistical support (including food and medical supplies) to animal shelters and organizations. We also assist with raising public awareness about animal welfare.

NFA focuses on areas with the greatest need where we can make the biggest impact, caring for dogs, cats, donkeys, horses and other animals across the globe. As a smaller organization, we prioritize working with partners on the ground to make every donation go as far as possible. From feeding, sterilization and vaccination programs to emergency relief in the wake of wars and natural disasters, and from specialized care to political lobbying aimed at changing outdated animal welfare laws, NFA strives to make a difference for animals everywhere.

New bank verification regulation for online donations:

A new regulation requires payment processors to verify bank accounts for online donations. This means you may need to log into your bank account to verify your identity before donating.

This regulation was implemented on March 19, 2021, to improve fraud detection.

Founder and Mission:

NFA was established by Brian Davies, an icon of the animal welfare movement who also founded the International Fund for Animal Welfare.

Fueled by our generous supporters, NFA’s mission is to uplift dogs, cats, horses and donkeys in distress. Through our partners, we provide crucial care for tens of thousands of animals every year.

Animal care and welfare:

NFA believes in providing medical care and rehabilitation to animals whenever possible. Euthanasia is only considered as a last resort for animals in extreme pain and suffering with no chance of survival.

NFA focuses on direct animal welfare projects and doesn’t advocate for specific dietary choices. While many supporters may be vegan or vegetarian, NFA respects individual choices.
