A blazing inferno has engulfed the famous island of Maui in Hawaii. As the flames tear through homes and destroy communities, innocent animals, both domesticated and wild, are desperately in need, struggling to survive.
The haunting drone images showing burnt cars and rising smoke clouds are a testament to our own vulnerability in the face of nature's might. But lurking in the background of these photos, are the displaced birds with singed wings, the frightened mammals scrambling for safety, and marine life choking on polluted waters.
In one case a local citizen Mason Jarvi risked everything, riding through walls of flames on his bike, all to rescue his beloved dog. The bond between humans and animals is unbreakable, even in the face of nature's fiercest wrath. But not every creature in Maui has someone like Mason to save them.
There is hope amidst the despair. Dedicated organizations on the ground are working tirelessly, risking their lives to rescue, rehabilitate, and relocate helpless animals. From pets separated from their families to wildlife driven out of their natural habitats, these organizations are the last line of defence against the tragic repercussions of this disaster.
Animal victims of Hawaii’s flaming inferno need your help. Please donate as much as you can right now.
