Often during times of crisis, animals become forgotten, abandoned victims, desperate for any bit of help, but often, it never comes. Network for Animals exists to help animals in such terrible situations. Animals like those who suffer during wars, like the Russian invasion of Ukraine, and natural disasters like the Turkish earthquake.
Our team was among the first on the ground when a 7.8-magnitude earthquake devastated parts of Turkey earlier this month. We immediately sprang into action, searching ravaged landscapes for animal victims along with HAYTAP (Hayvan Hakları Federasyonu), a dedicated animal rescue organization working in the Antakya region.
Our team managed to pull countless cats, dogs, birds and even farm animals from the rubble. They were rushed to our emergency field tents for life-saving veterinary treatment, food and shelter.
Sadly, unknown numbers of animals died in the tragedy, but now we must focus on the survivors. Many of them have lost everything - their homes, their security, their food and, most heartbreakingly of all, their owners. Other animals have been handed over to our team because their owners have not been permitted to shelter with their pets.
We must now give these desperate animals every bit of support we can. For this, we need to be able to count on your help today.

Donate todayWe must continue to provide the animals with life-saving medical treatment, food and water, warm and safe shelter, and loving care. We have promised to continue our work until they are healed and they can either be returned to their owners or be found new, loving families. After all they have endured, it is the very least they deserve.
Some of the survivors have terrible injuries that will require medical care for weeks or even months. Others are completely traumatized and need quiet, safe, warm places to recover. But we can only keep helping these animals with your support.
