The worst and deadliest scenario is happening at this VERY moment. Please send help!
Hurricane Laura is raging through Texas and Louisiana with sustained winds of 150 MPH and a potentially “unsurvivable” 20-foot storm surge that could reach 40 miles inland!
Dogs and cats are defenseless!
PLEASE DONATE to save helpless animals caught in its violent and massive path!
Help us to take action by donating today!
Donate todayImagine a wall of water as high as a two-story building! It is filled with fallen trees and rubble from homes that have been turned into lethal weapons, careening through the storm surge.
In this maelstrom, sweet dogs and tiny cats paddle frantically for their lives!
ONLY with your urgent support of NFA, can we rush resources to local rescuers that will help save these innocent victims of the storm who are right now fighting for survival.
Most recently, we leapt into action after the catastrophic Beirut explosion. We did so when Hurricanes Harvey, Florence and Irma hit. Our staff have also helped animals at the Alaska Valdez oil spill, the Mount Pinatubo volcano, and the Australian fires. The animals can count on us!
Sometimes, by working with experienced and reputable groups on the ground, we can save precious time and leverage resources to maximum effect. This is the case now as we have pledged our assistance to the Houston SPCA, the lead non-profit agency for animal-related response, rescue and recovery in the region. We know them well, having helped finance their efforts to save countless animals during Hurricane Harvey.
ONLY if we lock arms now, can we rush enough help to fund the emergency medical care and desperately needed food for animal evacuees and storm survivors, and even blankets to wrap their weary, shaking bodies in warmth after hours in howling wind, on rooftops and in water.
Extraordinary hurricane wind gusts are battering, leveling and obliterating the area. Pets and livestock risk paying with their lives and their limbs. We must help save every animal we can!
But we need your help to rescue animals who right now swim and scramble for their lives! We need your help to get desperately needed resources to animals right now.
Help us to take action by donating today!
Donate todayDogs, cats, horses and wildlife all need help because so many will be left behind as humans are moved to safety. Much needed are pet food distribution centers for areas hit hardest. Fuel for rescue boats is also needed. Land rescue vehicles are set to roll.
PLEASE rush what you can NOW to help the terrified animals who are hanging on for dear life during Hurricane Laura!
In this vicious storm, there is no doubt that many animal survivors will be critically injured.
With your donation to rush resources for their rescue and care, just as we have done in past disasters, together we will work to save these brave hearts - no matter how battered their bodies!
Hurricane Laura, the KILLER STORM, is HERE. We’re all the animals have.

P.S. It is unfathomable to think that Laura unleashes her deadly fury on the helpless animals of the Gulf Coast nearly fifteen years to the DAY after Hurricane Katrina hit peak intensity in the Gulf of Mexico on August 28, 2005. Back then, animal lovers like you rallied together to save lost pets and stray friends, beloved horses, birds, cows, pigs and more in the storm’s wake. Please, we know that with the pandemic it’s been such an emotional year. But Laura is raging and right now, the animals need your love - more than ever. Please send help!
