Two baby donkeys subjected to unspeakable brutality!

Imagine being a terrified young donkey foal, less than a year old, bound with ropes in the baking desert sun, slowly starving to death?

This is exactly what happened to two baby donkeys in the Bedouin town of Lakiya in southern Israel. These little guys, who had been subject to such disgusting abuse, were on death's doorstep. Please, will you help them by donating right now?

The poor baby donkeys were subjected to unspeakable brutality! They need urgent help to survive!

The foals - who had been stolen from their mothers - had their legs tied by Bedouin children so they couldn’t escape. One of the little foals was crying in fear and desperately calling for his mother. Can you imagine how terrified these poor babies must have been, trapped in the baking sun, with no food, no water and desperately seeking their mother’s milk? It’s utterly heartbreaking.

Ripped from their mothers’ sides, the babies were terrified, starving and desperately searching for comfort….

The foals were spotted by a good Samaritan who immediately called our partner on the ground, the Starting Over Sanctuary (SOS). It took the team several hours to locate the donkeys in the desert area of Lakiya - and when they finally did, it was in the nick of time. The foals were in such shocking condition that they were barely alive. They were emaciated, dehydrated and clearly abused.

Immediately, SOS rushed them for emergency medical care at its sanctuary. The babies were so weak, they were virtually carried in by their saviors - their little legs kept buckling beneath them.

Right now, it’s touch and go for these ailing youngsters… but with your help, they stand a fighting chance!
