As we write this, animals in Ukraine are scavenging for food in bombed-out buildings or picking their way through streets strewn with rubble, never knowing that death can rain down from the skies at any minute.

The sad reality is that for most of these animals, there is no escape.
THIS is why we need your help - they are starving and desperately need food.

Together with brave and wonderful people, we are doing our best to get as many animals as possible to safety in Poland and other countries, but many more are in places that presently are too difficult and dangerous for evacuation.

WE HAVE A LIFE-SAVING PLAN! We have partnered with Vetmarket Pluriton on a dangerous mission to feed dogs and cats where they need us most, in the war zones.

Before war broke out, Vetmarket focused solely on manufacturing pet food. With our help, the team will produce 21 tons (21,000 kilograms) of pet food every week, but a huge challenge is getting this food delivered. We are buying a specially reinforced vehicle so Vetmarket can more safely travel through the war zones, delivering food to desperate cats and dogs in some of the worst-hit areas of Ukraine.

Vetmarket does not have its own vehicle; to deliver 3 tons (3,000 kilograms) of food, it costs the team between $200 - $250 (£150 - £190) for a vehicle and driver, and sometimes, Vetmarket can wait for several days or more for transport. We do not have the luxury of time. We MUST HURRY because animals are waiting longer and longer for food, getting hungrier and hungrier - or they’re not getting any food at all.

Many of these dogs and cats go for days or longer without food, and they never know if they will ever get another meal.
Please, will you help us? Please, will you help the dogs and cats?

By loading up a vehicle with up to 3 TONS (3,000 KILOGRAMS) OF FOOD PER TRIP, Vetmarket will be able to feed hundreds more animals every week!

THIS is the kind of help we must now focus on giving to the animals of Ukraine. We may not be able to get them out of Ukraine right now, but we CAN keep their bellies full - and that’s where we need your help so badly right now.

With little chance of getting out of the war zone, the dogs and cats of Ukraine need us more than ever. We MUST help them on the ground by getting as much food to them as we can.
Will you help us meet this extraordinary challenge today - inside the war zones?

With the help of animal lovers like you, we will get Vetmarket on the road, delivering life-saving animal food. We have also commissioned Vetmarket to produce and distribute Network for Animals pet food to the hardest-hit areas - places no one has been able to reach so far because the danger has been so great. The daily TV news shows us terrible human suffering in Ukraine.

If it’s this bad for humans, just imagine how bad it is for the animals. Just imagine how hungry and how desperate they must be.

It must be noted that Vetmarket makes no profit on the pet food it is producing for Network for Animals. The team sells it to us at cost so that together, we can care for as many animals as we possibly can. THIS is where your donations will be going! THIS is the work we’re doing right now!

We can’t get the animals out, but we CAN get aid TO them!
With your help, that is exactly what we will do.

If you’re able to donate now, every single mouthful of food we can get will be hungrily devoured by the homeless dogs and cats where the need is most urgent.

We will also continue to work with our other brave and tireless Ukrainian partners like Ecoprotection of Starokostyantyniv (EPS), Shelter Ugolyok, the Kyiv Animal Rescue Group (KARG) and Anzhela Sheveleva and her Animal Guardians. These courageous organizations and individuals - some of them elderly and disabled pensioners - are risking their lives every day to feed their towns' animals. With your continued support, we can keep giving them food so they can keep feeding the animals.

You have helped to fill the bellies of thousands of animals trapped in a terrifying war. Many of these animals have lost everything - their homes, families, warm beds, and food. They have nothing. They are alone and terrified on the streets, fighting every day for tiny scraps of food as the bombardment never ends.

We can’t count how many animals we’ve seen torn up by shrapnel and traumatized by relentless bomb blasts. But what we CAN do - what we MUST do - is keep them fed. If nothing else, let’s ensure that they never go to sleep hungry and that they can rely on you, and us, for a square meal. It’s the least we can give them in this terrible time of need.

Please, keep donating and we’ll keep feeding the innocent and frightened dogs and cats. Every drop of your support fills their bellies and keeps them warm.

For the animals,

Brian and Gloria Davies (and Max and Flora!)
Network for Animals

P.S. We already know that as we and our partners venture deeper into the Ukrainian heartland, we are going to find unimaginable horrors for animals because they have been displaced by war for nearly two months now. They will be in the most desperate need of our help. Food is an URGENT, never-ending need for animals who have been scrounging around bombed cities and towns for scraps. We promise that with your help, we will get Vetmarket on the road, traveling further and feeding more animals. Please donate so they can stay alive until this nightmare is over.
