We are facing an urgent crisis and desperately need your help to save the lives of 365 dogs in Cape Town’s Westlake Township - and those are just the ones we’ve counted so far! Please, donate what you can today.
Our work in South Africa’s townships continues. The corona crisis has devastated the country’s economy - a disaster for street dogs there. Communities can’t afford to feed themselves - let alone their pets.
Without your help, these dogs will die. It’s that stark. It’s that simple.

Donate todayRecently, on a freezing cold winter’s day, we visited the area with Fur-Get-Me-Knot - a small group of volunteers fighting to improve the quality of life for the area’s animals. What we saw was shocking…
- Dogs running loose in the streets dodging traffic...
- Dozens of dogs scavenging through dumpsites…
- Dogs on short chains living in their own feces with no shelter from the cold...
- And dogs with major illness or injuries - lying down to die...
The sad reality is that, without your help, most of these dogs will die of starvation, disease, or neglect.

Donate todayWith your support, on our last visit, we were able to feed these dogs. It brought tears to our eyes to see how thankful they were as they rushed over to where we placed the food and even wagged their tails a little.
But, there is still so much to do. We need to go back to the area with even more food and provide enough funds to spay and neuter as many dogs and cats as we can, provide medical care to those in need and help Fur-Get-Me-Knot continue their educational outreach programs in the area.
Our team is stretched to capacity, rushing to animals in need. But we cannot let our animal friends down. Please, if you possibly can, donate any amount possible today to help us continue helping the dogs and cats of Westlake.
For the animals,
Brian and Gloria Davies (and Max and Flora!)

P.S. We love animals. They are helpless creatures and we must save them, but we cannot do this alone. If you’re an NFA supporter, you love animals too and you no doubt know that we do all this for the animals and not for ourselves, so please help us today. Your donations make a huge difference.
