For more than 50 years, Network for Animals’ founder, Brian Davies, has crusaded to make the world a better place for suffering animals. Never afraid to take on daunting challenges, Brian persevered in the face of often extreme hostility from those who, driven by profit, care nothing for the lives of the creatures with whom we share this planet. He was even prepared to be imprisoned rather than give up his campaign alerting the world to the horror of the Canadian baby whitecoat seal hunt.

The Brian Davies Award was created to recognize those who share Brian’s dedication and determination to help animals

For the third year running, Brian will be honoring three people or organizations by awarding one grant of $10,000 (£7,000) and two grants of $5,000 (£3,500) to help them enhance their work for animals.

With the financial strain caused by COVID, many small organizations are more in need of a helpful grant than ever before. There are so many good, selfless people out there dedicating their lives to helping animals, but often at considerable personal cost.

We would like your help in selecting projects, programs, organizations or individuals who you feel do exceptional work for animals.

Please visit our website and review last year’s winners (and NFA’s other campaigns and projects), to get an idea of the types of organizations and individuals we support. We have some 20 projects in 16 countries, but we’re all too aware that there are countless more animals in desperate need - and that those prepared to help them are often limited by available funding.

Do you know of an organization or individual that has the same passion and commitment as Brian?

If you would like to make a nomination, please email: nominations@networkforanimals.org. You can be sure that we will consider every submission!

Once we have gone through a thorough vetting process, we will announce the winners in September. That will be a happy day for animals!

Please note that voting is now closed.
