This is our Ghost Dogs team in Greece. Every week these wonderful people venture into the run down and often dangerous area called Aspropyrgos near Athens to rescue abandoned dogs that people dump there. They also brave the many gypsy camps in the area, places so dangerous the police are reluctant to venture inside. Our team have been mugged and threatened but they know that gypsy dogs are often cruelly treated and so they keep going back to educate and rescue.
With our financial support, they have saved the lives of countless dogs, provided them with veterinary care and rehomed them. They are heroes, each and every one of them. Front and centre in the blue shirt is Brian Davies, Network for Animals 82-year-old founder, who took time out of his busy schedule to save dogs with them this month, his wife Gloria (wearing sun glasses) was with him every step of the way.
Network for Animals works around the world to help animals. We receive no government funding and rely entirely on donations to carry out our mission of kindness and compassion. You can help by making a donation by clicking here.
