Inbar was just five months old when she was violently ripped from her mother’s side and brutally tortured in the Rahat region of southern Israel.
Donkey foal Inbar was stabbed and set on fire – all for a bit of ‘fun.’
A group of teenagers found the mother and foal and, for their own entertainment, tore the baby donkey away from her mother and started stabbing her again and again across her small body. They then sprayed deodorant onto her leg and set it alight – burning her as she thrashed around in unbearable agony.
When her body finally gave out and she collapsed, they stood back and prepared to watch her die… as if her life meant nothing.
As animal lovers, it is impossible to comprehend how anyone – let alone children – could act with such cruelty toward a frightened baby donkey. Heartbreakingly, this is not an isolated incident. Abuse like this is shockingly common in parts of Israel.

Her injuries should have killed her – but somehow, Inbar held on.
Our partner, Starting Over Sanctuary (SOS), was alerted by a kind-hearted man who chased the attackers away and stayed by Inbar’s side, watching over her fragile, broken body until help came.
Our partner sprang into action, rushing the little foal to its sanctuary for emergency, life-saving medical care. When she arrived, Inbar was barely clinging to life. For hours, vets worked desperately to stop the bleeding and stabilize her shattered body.
Miraculously, she survived that first night – but she is still fighting for her life, and she desperately needs your help.

Covered in stab wounds and suffering severe burns to her front leg – with the skin sloughing away – Inbar now faces at least six months of intensive medical treatment, including daily wound care, antibiotics, pain relief and constant monitoring.
We must urgently raise $16,800 (£12,390) to give Inbar the chance to survive and heal.
Her care will cost $2,800 (£2,065) per month, for a minimum of six months. Please, don’t wait. Donate today to help save this poor baby donkey’s life.
Even amid this dark story of suffering, there is hope.
