Help us protect them before it’s too late.
Usually, when we ask our supporters to help animals, we are in the midst of a crisis when animals are in immediate danger of death. Today, we have a chance to prevent suffering before it begins.

Our partner HUGS in Bodmin, England, cares for wild ponies who roam the desolate Bodmin Moor. In 2022, our partner faced one of the most terrifying moments in its history – an outbreak of a potentially fatal disease aptly known as ‘strangles.’
Strangles is a highly contagious disease that affects horses, ponies and donkeys, and can cause breathing difficulties, fever and nasal discharge. Because HUGS rescues wild ponies who might have latent strangles, there is always a fear of another outbreak. The last outbreak cost almost $26,300 (£20,000) in vet fees.
The good news is that now there is a new vaccine against the disease. If we can raise just $2,625 (£2,000), we can pay for all the ponies to be vaccinated – ending a potential nightmare before it even begins.

This is something we can do that will protect these ponies throughout their lives on the wild Bodmin moor. Please help if you can.
