It has been a catastrophic start to 2025 for the animals at our partner shelter in Kenya.

Just days into the new year, our partner, the Kenya Society for the Protection and Care of Animals (KSPCA), was struck by a devastating fire. The flames tore through its shelter in Nairobi in the middle of the night, destroying dog kennels, a newly-built cattery and part of the donkey stables.
480 trapped dogs, cats and donkeys were saved from perishing in the flames in the nick of time.

The brave team leapt to the rescue, risking their lives to save the animals. Thanks to the swift action of first responders and shelter staff, every animal life was saved – but the aftermath of this disaster is FAR from over.
The fire destroyed the homes of hundreds of animals. Now, they are crammed into already overcrowded kennels, where the risks of stress, fighting and the spread of disease are escalating daily.
The animals have nowhere else to go. We must rebuild the kennels and enclosures before more disaster strikes.
Every day we delay puts the animals at a greater risk.
We must act as fast as possible to rebuild damaged structures, replace the destroyed kennels and restore the cattery and stables. While insurance will cover a portion of the cost, it will not be nearly enough to get the shelter back to full operation, and the animals desperately need your help.

Your donation today will help us begin immediate emergency repairs, giving the animals secure shelter with ample space so they no longer have to endure overcrowded, unsafe conditions in the wake of this disaster.
Without our partner shelter, the animals face homelessness, starvation, disease – and worse.
We have been supporting the KSPCA since 2021, helping them save thousands of animals from starvation, neglect and abuse. Every dog, cat and donkey at the shelter has survived the most unimaginable cruelty, and now, their haven is in ruins.

Without a functional shelter, the animals face the grim reality of hunger, disease, abuse and even death on the streets of Nairobi, Kenya. We can stop this from happening – but only with your help.
Every amount you donate will help ease the suffering for hundreds of rescued animals who have already endured so much. Please donate generously today.
