After more than 40 years of rescuing sick, injured and abandoned dogs and cats on Kenya’s coast, our partner, the Kenya Society for the Protection and Care of Animals (KSPCA) in Mombasa, is being evicted from its property, and the final deadline is approaching fast.
We have 14 days to move all 297 animals to safety.

The good news is that KSPCA has been gifted 100 acres (72 hectares) of land in Vipingo, where a new haven is already under construction. They have also secured a small premises in Nyali so they can continue responding to emergency cases that require life-saving veterinary care.
With only one small vehicle available, the shelter must hire transport to move nearly 300 animals on a three-hour journey to their new home.
Hiring transport to move the animals safely will cost just over $1,000 (£806).
By the end of March, the shelter must be empty – and every dog and cat relocated to the new sanctuary.
297 dogs and cats are depending on kind-hearted people like you.
Will you help the animals by donating today so they can be quickly moved?

This new sanctuary will not only save the animals already in KSPCA’s care but also allow the team to help even more animals for decades to come.
The team is racing to finish essential facilities at the new shelter and equip the veterinary clinic, so animals across Mombasa still have somewhere to turn for help. That is why we desperately need your support today.

For animals on the streets of Mombasa, life is unimaginably harsh. Dogs and cats suffer from untreated wounds, severe skin infections, parasites, starvation, road accidents and horrific cruelty.
For decades, KSPCA has been a lifeline for these animals. It cannot abandon them now.
We have just two weeks left.
