My heart is heavy as I write to you today with the most devastating news.
Typhoon Kalmaegi made landfall in the Philippines with devastating force – unleashing torrential rain, towering waves, catastrophic flooding and powerful winds of up to 93mph (149km/h) that left a trail of death and destruction in its wake.

At least 188 people are confirmed dead, 135 are missing and more than 560,000 people have been displaced. Entire communities have been wiped out. Homes, roads and powerlines have been obliterated, and countless animals are in grave danger – trapped, starving, injured and fighting for their lives.
We must rush help to these desperate animals without delay.
The devastation is catastrophic, and the situation is worsening by the hour.

While the Philippines reels from Kalmaegi, another potentially deadly tropical cyclone is forming over the Pacific. It is expected to strengthen into a super typhoon and strike the country early next week, bringing another relentless wave of destruction and death.
Every moment we wait means more lives lost. Your donation will help ensure that animals caught in this deadly storm are rescued and receive the food, shelter and medical care they desperately need.
Together, we can bring hope and relief to the forgotten victims of Typhoon Kalmaegi.
