A heartbreaking situation is unfolding in Indonesia, where the magnitude of suffering has reached unbearable heights. Local street cats find themselves trapped in an endless cycle of torment, unimaginable hardships, and sheer neglect. The situation is so dire it begs for our critical intervention.

On these islands, local authorities seem indifferent to the plight of street cats, leaving them uncared for and unsterilized. This lack of intervention has led to a staggering population boom, exacerbating the already heart-wrenching conditions.

On the beautiful Gili Islands of Indonesia, unwanted street cats are left to breed indiscriminately, bringing weak, sick, and helpless kittens into lives of unimaginable suffering.

Imagine the plight of these abandoned animals, left to breed unchecked and born into a world of unimaginable suffering. But there is hope. Here is how you can make a difference right now:

We are working with the LUNI Lombok Charity, to help care for the island’s cats. Luni runs daily feeding programs to provide nutrition and water, conducts regular trap-neuter-release (TNR) programs, provides critical veterinary care, and builds food and water stations for animals living on the streets.

There is no veterinary care on any of the Gili Islands, which means that even if local people were motivated to sterilize cats, there would be no one qualified to do it. The result is that countless cats roam the islands breeding, starving, ailing, and dying.

We need you to rally with us to build a fully equipped, professional animal clinic and shelter for cats and to provide sterilization programs and importantly, to take the first steps to transform the cruel lives of cats from constant cruelty to a caring existence. It is a tough task but it has to be done and if you stand with us, together we can make an immediate difference.

The clock is ticking, and there is a great deal of urgency. LUNI must vacate their current premises by April next year. We have less than 10 months to create a clinic and begin transforming the lives of cats.

Envision this: a clinic equipped with a surgery room, consultation rooms, a boarding area, quarantine rooms for sick cats, a charming cat café, and a gift shop to generate funds. A haven where cats can heal, recover and find loving forever homes while fostering empathy in visitors towards these innocent beings.

If you can help us raise $10,000, we could cover nearly a third of the shelter's cost. The more you donate the more we can do. Please, contribute today.

P.S: It is heartbreaking to think that cats, similar to yours and mine, are left to suffer, breed uncontrollably, and scramble for scraps to eat and drops to drink on the Gili Islands with not a single vet to help them. Help us construct a specialized cat clinic for regular spay-and-neuter programs, treating sick cats, and giving these homeless cats a chance at love and a better life. Please donate now. Your contribution will make a world of difference.
