Donations help us curb the untold suffering of dogs around the world

While the atrocities against our companions reach an all-time high, animal welfare organisation, Network for Animals (NFA), has been on the ground fighting for the voiceless and saving as many dogs as they can.

This is where donations from our supporters have been crucial to NFA’s work.

“All our hours could not have been possible without the generous support from our supporters,” says NFA chief campaigner, David Barritt.

The NFA funds several partner organisations like the Žarkovica Animal Shelter in Croatia, which sits on a mountainside just outside the city without access to legally supplied electricity, water or structural integrity. The shelter lies on a UNESCO heritage site and the mayor is expressly forbidden from providing the proper infrastructure that provides these critical amenities.

Shelter manager, Sandra Sambrailo, and her team are forced to hike up steep mountains, carrying food and water every day for 300 hungry dogs. And more dogs are coming all the time.

“They need our help and that’s why we have paid for a worker to help Sandra and invested in spay and neuter programs, as well as emergency medical care for the dogs,” said Barritt.

NFA has also provided funds to Žarkovica to build more enclosures.

“Across the world, not all dogs are lucky enough to find good homes and families. Imagine if one of these distressed dogs was your pet? How would you feel knowing the untold suffering they have had to endure? At NFA, we hope to save as many animals as we can. No operation is too big for us because where there’s a will, there’s a way… and we intend on making it happen. All we need to make this a reality is donations from kind-hearted individuals who feel the same way.”
