Network for Animals are proud to announce three further successful raids, following our 8th October operation targeting five restaurants, in which 151kg of canine remains were recovered.

Each of our recent raids followed months of undercover work, and has taken place in conjunction with the Philippine National Meat Inspection Service, the Philippine Criminal Investigation and Detection Group, and the Baguio City Veterinary Office.
The latest raids occurred on 14th October, and uncovered a further 147kg of canine remains, spread across two restaurants in the Philippine province of La Trinidad, and a single restaurant in Baguio City.
Our eight October raids recovered a total of 298kg of dog meat, the equivalent of roughly 40 brutally assaulted dogs.
During the winter period, supply and consumption of dog meat in the Philippines will typically increase. The brutally sourced meat is typically eaten while drinking alcohol, to demonstrate the 'manliness' of the consumer. It represents one of the most terrible human attacks on the natural world currently taking place.
Thanks to our undercover operations and ongoing partnership with Philippine authorities, we will vastly increase the level of action against the trade in the coming months, taking dog meat firmly off the menu this winter.
