NFA provides modern kennels for anti-poaching dogs in South Africa

Network for Animals (NFA) has designed and built modern kennels for anti-poaching dogs in South Africa’s Addo elephant park.

Anti-poaching dogs track criminals who target rhinos for their horns and elephants for their tusks in the huge national park. They play a vital role in protecting animals at a time when poaching is at crisis levels.

Last year NFA introduced a 27-strong elephant family to the remote Darlington Dam area of Addo, an area which last saw elephants more than a century ago, before they were all killed by hunters. The anti-poaching dogs will protect the new elephant pioneers and any other animals targeted by poachers.

The new kennels were made possible by donations from NFA supporters.
