South African animals have had the most horrific week. Massive civil unrest and looting have caused complete chaos in the areas around Johannesburg and Durban in the KwaZulu-Natal (KZN) province - and, it’s the animals who are suffering in the wake of this terror.

Businesses have been illegally raided, vandalized and burned down, and transport brought to a complete halt. The utter destruction and devastation have destroyed food supply chains. Animals are unable to receive food and care amid this pandemonium - their food has been set on fire, and those trying to help are terrorized by looters.

The dogs and cats of KZN are hungry, and it is our duty to help them right now.

Please help us raise funds so we can get emergency food to all the dogs and cats who need it.

There is no supply of food for these animals because businesses have either been looted or completely burned to the ground. Our teams are working tirelessly to help look after them.

Feeding these dogs, cats and other animals is vitally important right now!

Every Sunday for the past six years, the KZN Valley Dogs team has ventured into their beloved valley, where they feed and provide medical care for thousands of dogs and cats in rural and impoverished communities.

This past Sunday was the first time they could not feed these dogs and cats because there is no food!

Imagine the thousands of dogs waiting for the food that will help them survive another week - and then nobody comes! They don’t understand - they just rely on animal lovers like you to help them, and right now, they have been let down, waiting piteously for help that isn’t arriving. To think that these poor animals will be there waiting, but there is simply nothing that the KZN Valley Dogs team can do at this stage. Their meat supplier was burned down, the company that donates a vehicle for weekly use was looted, and the factories that provide food, rice and chicken feed were completely trashed and robbed.

The situation is desperate, and it is only with your donation that we can help them.

Your donation will help rush emergency food supplies to these dogs and cats.
Please help these innocent animals by donating now.

We CANNOT allow these dogs and cats to starve and suffer because of human indifference and destruction. Our priority is to help animals and give them a fighting chance no matter the situation. You can count on the Network for Animals team to do what it takes to ALWAYS put animals first and help end their suffering. We need to raise $5,000 (£3,600) to URGENTLY get supplies to these starving, confused and desperate animals.

For the animals,

P.S. Please donate generously today, so these animals do not go hungry for the next few months. KwaZulu-Natal has already begun the slow and painstaking process of cleaning and rebuilding what is left, but the situation is still volatile and could change at any time. The dogs and cats are at the bottom of the priority list for most - but NOT FOR US at Network for Animals!
