It is the phone call you never want to receive:

“There’s been a terrible accident.”

It is the kind of news we dread coming to you with, and we are sorry that we have to - but there is a little hope, too.

“Today was one of our worst days.”

These were the chilling words of our partner in South Africa, Fallen Angels (FA), after shelter dogs survived a horrible car crash.

While taking three dogs to a vet, FA co-founder Shireen Williams was involved in a dreadful accident in their only vehicle - one that our supporters bought for them four years ago. The driver responsible for the accident was uninsured and unlicensed, a situation that is unfortunately not uncommon in South Africa. The loss of the vehicle is a shocking blow to animals in South Africa’s Western Cape because without it, FA cannot conduct vitally needed rescue missions in some of the poorest places in Africa.

Fallen Angels’ co-founder was trapped in the wreckage of their totaled vehicle - but she begged rescuers to help the animals first!

It is a testament to the character of our wonderful partners like FA that Shireen Williams would ask the emergency rescue team to help the animals first!

Shireen Williams never makes a fuss, and her only concern is to find a way to get another vehicle, but she is battling cancer, which makes the stress so much greater.

This is where we ask our supporters to roll up their sleeves. Your donations paid for the vehicle, which is now a tangled mass of metal – please, stand with the animals again and help us to get them another one.

FA is situated in a rural area far from vet clinics and emergency supplies. While they do as much as they can on-site, a vehicle is vital to quickly respond to animal emergency rescues. A vehicle means they can instantly remove animals from abusive or dangerous situations, or rush sick animals to the vet.

The health and well-being of hundreds of animals depends on Fallen Angels getting to them fast.

Please, help us get Fallen Angels back on the road after their horror crash – animal lives depend on it!

The help FA provides to animals cannot be understated...

Fallen Angels save animal lives every single day, but they can only do so if they can get back on the road.

Our partner's work is critical to downtrodden animals living in poverty. If we can raise $14,000 (roughly £9,645), we can purchase a new (or carefully vetted second-hand) vehicle and get them back to saving lives. Please help us get a vehicle so that hideously abused, unhappy dogs can be saved. Your donation right now, will help enormously.

For the animals,

P.S. Helpless dogs and cats are counting on you right now. They are waiting - hungry and desperate - for a rescue team to arrive with food and a caring embrace. The animals won’t survive without the food a rescue vehicle brings. Please help us get the animals the love and care they deserve. Please donate now.
