In an off-the-radar location in Gimhae City, South Korea, the filthy cage was intentionally hidden under old cardboard and planks of wood.

But the piles of feces piled beneath gave its suffering contents away.

FOUR HELPLESS PUPPIES fattened for horrific slaughter
and human consumption in bloody mid-summer ritual!

These poor pups were to have been beaten and murdered for their flesh!

Please, donate generously today so we can ensure the NOW RESCUED pups receive the veterinary care, special medications and vaccines and nutritious food they need before being found LOVING FOREVER HOMES.

In the dank, dirty cage, our partner for this rescue - Jindo Love - found four puppies cowering in their own filth… waiting in fear for whatever terrible thing might next befall them.

As soon as we saw the photos of the puppies, we KNEW we had to alert you…

…because in the late 1980s, in what remains one of the most disturbing dog meat videos we’ve ever seen, we had witnessed with our own eyes what was coming next...

The grainy, amateur video showed a family in South Korea, on a picnic in the park with their pet dog. Suddenly they hang the loyal, betrayed creature from a tree. As the hanging dog slowly swings and strangles, they beat it over and over with a stick until it dies.

Then the family COOKS and EATS their dog at the picnic!
THIS is the kind of unthinkably cruel death those poor pups could have faced!

Please, donate as generously as you can now to rush life-saving care to the puppies.

When we received that awful video in the 1980s, we KNEW change HAD to come from that poor dog’s ruthless and senseless murder.

We hope it makes you proud to be an NFA supporter when you learn it was us (before NFA was founded) who - the moment we saw that video - lit the spark that ignited the South Korea’s anti-dog-meat movement.

We’re proud to have been pacesetters.
But we’re even more proud of groups like Jindo Love
that have continued our life-saving work.

Today, as South Korea’s anti-dog-meat movement continues to build and grow, your generosity helps NFA to work in the places where animals slip through the cracks, from the Philippines to Thailand to Greece to Turkey to South Africa and more. You know we get the job done.

But, what remains stubbornly “dug in” are South Korea’s
Boknal Days, occurring over three of the hottest days in July and August.

That’s when almost ALL the dog meat slaughter happens, just as gruesome as in the video. And Boknal Days will soon be here. Please, PLEASE donate now to help the puppies!

So far, in just a few years, Jindo Love’s team has found homes in America and Canada for nearly 1,000 dogs and pups!

But it takes about $100 (£80) each month for each dog or puppy just to cover the food and supplies that keep them clean, comfortable, and happy. Shortcuts aren’t taken since the aim is to eventually place every rescued healthy and well-socialized dog with a family.

Most of the dogs and puppies that Jindo Love rescues also need extra veterinary care for diseases of neglect like distemper and mange. It’s a huge added cost - that only adds to the disgusting irony that during Boknal Days, dog meat soup is ritualized as a “health tonic”!

To give the surviving puppies - and every rescued
puppy and dog - the BEST chance at life, we need your help now.

Your urgent gift of $100 (£80), $50 (£40), or even $35 (£30) today will be a lifeline to the puppies and dogs!

We know so much of what we shared with you today has not been easy to read. ESPECIALLY for someone who loves animals as deeply as we know you do.

THANK YOU for never turning away.

Please today, will you help us treat these innocent,
precious puppies who were being raised for brutal slaughter? Will you donate whatever feels most generous to get the pups the care they truly deserve?

Boknal Days are coming, and we can’t bear to think of any puppy or dog whose days are cruelly numbered in a countdown to even more misery and abuse than they endure now.

Please donate whatever you can today.

For the animals,

P.S. There are other costs - the cost of investigations, organizing and undertaking (sometimes dangerous) rescues, transporting the dogs to Jindo Love’s modern foster care facility (which is staffed by volunteers around the clock), the meticulous process of vetting potential adoptive families, and more. And then, of course, there is the expense of airfare from South Korea to safe and loving families. So, if you are able to add a little extra to your donation, it will be of tremendous help. Thank you so much for your friendship and support!
