Thanks to compassionate supporters like you, we rushed medical care to donkeys in Tanzania and cats in Jamaica, fought for stronger protections for huskies in Finland and helped get a vital animal ambulance back on the road in Uruguay. This global impact for animals was only possible thanks to our community of generous supporters.
AFRICA
Geita, Tanzania
Keeping our donkey medical kits stocked for a year
In the gold-mining region of Geita, Tanzania, there are so many injured donkeys in need of help. Thanks to the sanctuary we built together with our partners, the Lake Zone Animal Welfare Organization (LAZAWO) and Animal Aid Abroad (AAA), there is always a safe place to take injured, abused and neglected donkeys. But the need is relentless. Every day, donkeys working in small-scale gold mines suffer deep, infected wounds, brutal lacerations from sharp materials or acts of cruelty and terrible injuries from collapsing under heavy loads. And too often, we donโt have enough medical supplies to treat them all.ย
Thanks to the generosity of our supporters, we raised enough funds to keep our medical kits fully stocked for an entire year. You are a big part of why no donkey in pain will go untreated in Geita โ thank you.ย ย

THE CARIBBEAN
Kingston, Jamaica
Feeding and protecting disaster-stricken cats
In October 2025, Hurricane Melissa tore through Jamaica with devastating force. Six months on, the crisis is far from over โ countless cats are still struggling to survive in the aftermath of one of the most powerful Atlantic storms in history. In Kingston alone, our partner, Only Paws Cat Rescue, estimates that more than 10,000 cats are battling hunger, injury and disease. Ongoing emergency relief efforts, including food and urgent medical care, are critical to their survival.
Thanks to our supportersโ donations, we continue to provide food, vital vaccinations, deworming and parasite treatment for cats in need. Thank you for being a lifeline for these cats โ long after Hurricane Melissa has passed.ย

EUROPE
Finland
Fighting for better protection for huskies in the sled dog tourism industry
Across northern Finland, tens of thousands of huskies are suffering out of sight as sled dog ride experiences explode in popularity. When the tourists arenโt around, many of these dogs are chained, confined to small cages and severely neglected. When they can no longer run, they are often killed โ because itโs cheaper than treatment and easier than rehoming.ย
Together with SEY Animal Welfare Finland, we are working to expose this cruelty and push for change. Thanks to your support, we are advancing advocacy efforts to strengthen laws, demand proper enforcement and veterinary oversight and build public pressure through awareness campaigns.ย

SOUTH AMERICA
Montevideo, Uruguay
A life-saving animal ambulance is back on the road
When someone finds a sick or injured animal in Montevideo, they call our partner, APA El Refugio. But their animal ambulance, used for years to rescue dogs and cats in crisis, recently broke down and is beyond repair. Every day without it meant sick or injured animals could not be reached in time.
Thanks to your generosity, those calls didnโt go unanswered for long. Weโve raised enough to fund a reliable replacement vehicle for our partner. Soon, this vital ambulance will be back on the road rescuing animals and saving lives, all because of you.
