Back in February, just as COVID bit deep, Network for Animals (NFA) received an urgent plea to help rescue five ponies who were dumped and left to die in England – sadly, one was so severely injured that he could not be saved.
We raised £5,000 to help save the surviving four ponies and helped move them 200-miles (320 kilometers) to ‘The Hugs Foundation’ in Bodmin where we and the good people of Hugs provided them with the food and medical care they urgently needed. One pony was found to have terminal internal injuries, probably from having been struck by a car or truck. Unfortunately, he had to be euthanized. The other three, Moomin, Dobby and Dickinson, are doing well
Dickinson has just found his forever home. His new family say that his recovery has gone so well that he may even take part in horse shows.
