Another incident that is a shame for our local community was recorded in northern Kefalonia, specifically on the road between Vasilikades and Assos (very close to Assos), where a Network for Animals employee and her husband rescued two puppies.
An unknown person, thinking that they had found the ideal way to “get rid of” two beautiful puppies, tied them in a sack and threw them over a cliff, so that they would meet a tragic death. Luckily for them, Lisa and Pete, two animal lovers, noticed their presence and rescued them.
They immediately took them to the veterinarian, Lefteris Pssarros, for a check-up and deworming, and this week they will have their first vaccine, while they will be fitted with a microchip issued a health book.
The two lovable animals are temporarily being cared for by the couple and will be up for adoption to a family that will give them the required love and care.
The ad for the adoption of the two puppies has been posted on the new “myPET” animal posting service of inkefalonia.gr.
